CIS and Baltic States Bond Congress is an annual event bringing together debt market professionals from Russia, Ukraine, the CIS, the Caucasus, and other emerging markets. Key conference topics are current trends in local bond markets, Eurobond market prospects, macroeconomic forecasts and regional investment ideas.

Every year the Congress takes place in a different city allowing its participants to learn more about the economy and cultural peculiarities of the country hosting the event. Two busy business days of the Congress are followed by a rich informal programme featuring the Cbonds Awards CIS ceremony.

This year conference delegates will be welcomed to the modern fast-paced capital of Kazakhstan Astana. The year 2018 is the official launch year of the Astana International Financial Centre positioning itself as a financial hub for European and Asian countries. Congress participants will have a unique opportunity to meet key AIFC officials and learn about immediate plans related to developing international cooperation in capital markets.

The conference was top class, as always, it is true about the official agenda and the “food” one. Cbonds never fails. It felt good to have a look at the market and trends somewhat from the outside, in a somewhat relaxed way. Especially when the Russian summer is so uninviting.
