This half day tour includes some of the best known Ottoman highlights of Istanbul.

Your guide will show you a selection of the city’s famous historical places such as:

• the impressive Topkapi Palace, former residence of the Ottoman Sultans.
• the Blue Mosque  with its magnificent interior and the adjacent  Byzantine Hippodrome. 
• the Grand Covered  Bazaar, one of the oldest market places in the world .

Some free time to browse/shop before returning to the hotel.

Byzantine Istanbul & Grand Bazaar

• the magnificent Hagia Sophia
• the Yerebatan Cistern, an impressive underground water reservoire dating back to Byzantine times

Bazaar Bargains - Spice Bazaar & Grand Bazaar

Guests will first be taken to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, a market place full of the fragrances of the Orient and Turkish food specialties. Time for a short wander around the market before continuing to the iconic Grand Bazaar – a true treasure trove where one can find a wide choice of colourful items. Before having some time at leisure to browse / shop, the guide will take you to a few of the hidden places of the Bazaar, places which even most of the locals do not know.
Thereafter, time to browse/shop before returning to the hotel.

Istanbul Highlights & Grand Bazaar

Istanbul offers an impressive selection of museums dating back to Byzantine and Ottoman times. During this FULL day tour your professional guide will take you to the city’s most iconic historical places such as:

• the Blue Mosque
• and the adjacent Hippodrome.
• the impressive Topkapi Palace, fomer residence of the Ottoman Sultans.
• the magnificent Hagia Sophia.
